Conservative Values at Conservapedia

In case you haven't heard, Conservapedia is a wiki designed to compete with the original Wikipedia with articles written from a conservative, Christian perspective. It is by conservatives, for conservatives.

Recently, Conservapedia released a list of their top ten most popular pages:

1. Main Page‎ [1,918,085]
2. Homosexuality‎ [1,593,887]
3. Homosexuality and Hepatitis‎ [517,613]
4. Homosexuality and Promiscuity‎ [421,466]
5. Gay Bowel Syndrome‎ [396,972]
6. Homosexuality and Parasites‎ [395,731]
7. Homosexual Couples and Domestic Violence‎ [373,441]
8. Homosexuality and Gonorrhea‎ [331,802]
9. Homosexuality and Mental Health‎ [292,928]
10. Homosexual Agenda‎ [271,288]

What a telling glimpse into the minds of those God fearing, afterlife anticipating, family values types.

Amazing! The page linked indicates that there are some 45,042 pages on the site. One gets the impression from the list of most popular hits, that the whole site is concerned with one topic. How many topics are accessible at wikipedia? Dare say I more than just this one?

For those who frequent conservapedia, it's clear what captivates their attention.

Regards,
Dawson

Dawson,

Yes its unbelievable. I would have expected maybe a page or two like this in teir top ten. But I certainly never expected to see 9 of their top 10 pages being about homosexuality! It says a lot.

To compare, the regular (secular) Wikipedia has this top ten list:

wikipedia:
1. Main Page [30,090,900]
2. Wiki [904,800]
3. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows [413,400]
4. Naruto [401,400]
5. Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock [396,000]
6. United States [330,000]
7. Wikipedia [329,400]
8. Deaths in 2007 [321,300]
9. Heroes (TV series) [307,500]
10. Transformers (film) [303,600]

That's Gay!

I shouldn't laugh. Conservo-creepism is not a choice. Nobody knows why their brains are hard-wired to mind everyone else's business, or why they cling to traditional mythological hypocrisy. At one time it was thought to be a result of toilet training that was too early, and caused too much paranoia and anxiety, but that theory has been largely debunked. Modern theory is that they are genetic descendants of like-minded assholes.

Truly astounding.

Our society has become a cesspool of Lucifer's influence that attempts to deter us from our Divine paths in life. Good thing I have Conservapedia to provide me with 100% un-biased information to all of my questions, and to help me too remain a good Christian while I await the arrival of the Rapture.

Well is this a post to mock on what subjects were actually looked at or to mock how much they devote to the subject?

Because anyone can be looking at the subject matter whether it be Christian or Secular and being that they are all linked to "homosexuality" I have no doubts that when you peruse the main page of a subject you click on the links associated with it especially if it is a highly discussed subject. Besides that top 10 wiki list can mostly be categorized as entertainment, even though I am aware that this is a poor analogy.

Now the reason why I think there is so much subject matter on it is because they expand on the general subject into sub-subjects through different links.

The only real Flaw I see in their homosexuality posts is that they portray homosexuality in a negative light, and that for me is truly astounding, and here I thought only their God can judge them!

For both of those reasons, among others.

Gotta love those conservative values.

Hey David, are you being funny?

unfortunately, this was the result of a joke. a click-bot inflated the numbers. Still, I wonder how many of the hits on Gay Bowel Syndrome were real.
