A GOLD Coast man who claimed his body was regularly taken over by an ancient Egyptian sex god appeared in court yesterday charged with sexually assaulting his teenage stepdaughter.
The 29-year-old man and his 40-year-old wife, an erotic masseuse and "spiritual healer", allegedly had sex with and in front of the 14-year-old girl. The mother also allegedly had sex with the daughter's boyfriend.
Both pleaded not guilty in Southport District Court to nine charges including rape, carnal knowledge and maintaining a sexual relationship with a child.
Opening what he described as a "bizarre" case, Crown prosecutor Peter Nolan said the man claimed to take on the persona of Min, the ancient Egyptian god of sexuality and fertility.
"Min" went into a trance-like state and took commands to perform sex acts on his stepdaughter from the accused woman, who was known as "master" and who called her daughter "the entity", the court was told.
...
In a statement read to the court, the victim said she was convinced that Min was an "unlimited god" with "special powers" that would make her forget she had been molested as a child, cure her of a cyst and teach her how to have multiple orgasms.
This is yet another example of an adult doing something horrible to a child while citing some religious/afterlife based pseudo-justification.
I find it disgusting that religious people constantly push the false idea that only God can give one a moral foundation, but then they get caught doing something awful and use their God and His associated dogma to deflect blame and absolve themselves of responsibility for their crime. Where's your morality now, you bastards?
I've been blogging about god/afterlife related sex crimes so much lately because of all the new cases that keep popping up in the news. When the Catholic Priest gay pedophilia scandal burst open a few years ago, I assumed that it would have been a sign for other religiously motivated perverts to watch their behavior. It seems that I was wrong.
By the way, I've also been looking all over the Internet for "adult rapes child in the name of atheism" articles, but I just can't find any.

Let me step up next to Aaron for a moment and join him in condemning anyone who dares to use the Bible (or any religion) as justification for patently immoral acts. People who abuse their positions of trust, be it the pulpit or otherwise, WILL BE JUDGED BY GOD! So terrible do I believe is the punishment waiting for these child molestors and rapists that I can only pray God has mercy on their souls. They are not fit to live in this world. They should never ever be allowed to live in free society once they are found out.
At the same time, we should not be blinded by the abuse of God's reputation that these heinous people inflict. The Bible teaches fiercly against their acts. There is not one good thing in the world that a clever sinner cannot twist to terrible evil. It makes no sense to condemn the hope for a better afterlife, and the best guide we have for this one, simply because Satan twists that hope to his own advantage.
It's been "right" in a lot of cultures to kill ethnic groups just because of who they were. The point is, it shouldn't be "right" now.
yes ecualegacy you would of course under normal circumstances be correct, that is if the bible didn't actually promote such acts. Here are some examples from the bible (Commentary from skeptics annotated bible)
"At the same time, we should not be blinded by the abuse of God's reputation that these heinous people inflict. The Bible teaches fiercly against their acts
Numbers 31:1-54 Under God's direction, Moses' army defeats the Midianites. They kill all the adult males, but take the women and children captive. When Moses learns that they left some live, he angrily says: "Have you saved all the women alive? Kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves." So they went back and did as Moses instructed, killing everyone except for the virgins.
There is not one good thing in the world that a clever sinner cannot twist to terrible evil.
or a good Christian for that matter!
Deuteronomy 22:13-21 If a man marries, then decides that he hates his wife, he can claim she wasn't a virgin when they were married. If her father can't produce the tokens of her virginity then the woman is to be stoned to death at her father's doorstep.
It makes no sense to condemn the hope for a better afterlife, and the best guide we have for this one, simply because Satan twists that hope to his own advantage.
Of course God is often not much better
Deuteronomy 22:23-24 If a betrothed virgin is raped in the city and doesn't cry out loud enough, then the men of the city shall stone her to death.
Religions love to look at these "old testament" scriptures and talk about how they are the "old covenant" of God. But for some reason they are quick to point to Deuteronomy, especially when trying to collect money (tithes)from their congregation.
I truely believe that anyone that looks at the scriptures without bias cannot take it upon themselves to intelligently believe. Just because you really really really want a fairy tale to be true, doesn't make it actually true. Christ, what do you think this is Peter Pan!
Oh by the way Hitler was a member of the Roman Catholic Church http://ffrf.org/fttoday/back/hitler.html Although they are often not quick to claim him!
AK - Well, I don't think either of them committed their evil deeds "in the name of atheism" or ever claimed that "atheism" told them to rape and kill. Besides, Hitler wasn't an atheist. He was some wacky kind of occultist. And most of the other Nazis were Christians.
Re: Nazis as atheists. I'll concede that Nazis are a bad example (I'll give everyone a moment to pick their jaws up off the floor when they realize a Christian has admitted that he was wrong about something).
Okay, ready? Time to move on.
Clearly, the bulk of Nazi Germans were Christians. Ref to: www.nobeliefs.com/nazis and don't miss the link to mementoes at the bottom.
Obviously, Hitler played on religious institutions to get his way. But did Hitler believe in God or even a god? I've read one webpage (Wikipedia's the best I've found in an hour long search) that says he had a belief in a Creator and used it to justify killing the "race" that killed Jesus. Though why Hitler didn't follow through on his logic and pick on the Aryan Romans who performed the actual crucifixion is beyond me.
Was he an occultist? I don't know. According to our trusty Wikipedia (don't laugh, I'll bet you use it too! :-) Hitler said in this speech, "We will not allow mystically-minded occult folk with a passion for exploring the secrets of the world beyond to steal into our Movement. Such folk are not National Socialists, but something else—in any case something which has nothing to do with us." (Speech in Nuremberg on 6 September 1938).
But having chosen a bad example still leaves two other strong ones: the Soviet and Chinese empires. I'll discuss them next post.
The reason I don't think you'll find many articles (or any) about people saying "I did this or that in the name of atheism" or "because my atheism justified it" is for a simple reason. Atheism doesn't tell people to do anything except not believe in God. And therein lies the problem with Atheism.
Unlike Christianity, Atheism doesn't have a central authority by which its adherents can condemn anything on universal moral grounds. With atheism, you can make anything your standard of morality. You could have just as easily picked majority-rules-morality over self-ownership as the foundation for your ethical system. But you cannot show why either would be right or even wrong without looking to a standard beyond them.
That's why I brought up the Soviet Union and Red China. They were Grade A Atheist states. Instead of duping the masses with Christian seducing rhetoric, they tossed the Scriptures out completely and made up their own codes which resulted in the deaths of millions upon millions.
That is why, if anything, I think that a "lack" of belief in God should be tossed out :-) At least with the Bible, you have an all-knowing, all-powerful being in authority telling you what to do. And who better than God to know what is right and wrong?
BTW: I'm going to bow out for a week or so. I've got homework and sleep to catch up on. :-) I'll read your posts, but will refrain from responding for a bit.
God Bless,
Brian

That is a strength, not a problem.

Incorrect. Atheism has a far superior "central authority" and its called the nature of existence. It is an unconscious, nonsingular, universal, unchanging, non-arbitrary central authority. Far superior than any conscious creator entity in all respects.
That's why I brought up the Soviet Union and Red China. They were Grade A Atheist states.
LOL no, they were grade a cult of personality states. They replaced cosmic conscious creator gods with conscious human rulers. I must let you know that, as an anarchist, you will be hard pressed to bring up good arguments against me that tie atheism with statism. Communism is the diet coke of religion.

LOL remind me again why you are against communism?
And who better than God to know what is right and wrong?

;)
Nature (of existence) as your moral foundation is an arbitrary choice no matter how you slice it. How do you get objective, binding morality from amoral matter? You get emergent moral systems, true, but that doesn't really explain why you should follow them.
RE your old testament references, I'm afraid you are more badly informed about the context than I was about Nazi's and Christian influences. I don't have time to write here, but Tektonics has some good refs. Just log in there, find the scriptures, and let Holding clear things up.
Do you have a website better describing your moral system? Someone who can explain it indepth, because I'm just not seeing how you can get justified morality out of dirt and blood (to coin the Nazi phrase).
5 minutes to post. A new personal record.
ecualegacy
Just saying that the old testament references are out of context doesn't make them out of context. It seems to me that there is not very many ways that you can take these. If you would like to try, I would love to watch you dance!
I've got plenty of homework as it is. You could help by looking up the refs I mentioned and posting the arguments (you'd learn something in the process).

It's a good thing that God has you to defend his word. He would be helpless without you. Quite the supreme being indeed!
I checked out that tektonics website. It was very amusing. I find it funny that someone can take a scripture where God commands murder and rationalize it. It is also interesting to me that if God is so obviously real and that there is so much proof, then why is there such a need to defend him? Is he so feeble that he needs our help? My real hope is that Christians can become content enough with thier own beliefs to finally keep them to themselves! Once again, that is just a fantasy. People long for the supernatural, the deeper meaning, and will accept unreasonable stories over the more reasonable truth. My best to you ecaulegacy
If you're looking for a rape in the name of atheism, look no further than Jeffrey Dahmer. He said that the reason he committed his crimes was because he thought we all evolved from "slime" and therefore there were no moral restraints to hold him back. He could do whatever he want, because there was no ultimate authority.
Of course, this doesn't mean that atheism is inherently bad, nor do its counterexamples make theism inherently bad. All of it is simply a red herring to the accuracy of both world views.
The gods tempt people for which they are most weak. Artificial Intelligence will create desire in people's minds for the following sins:::
1. Alcohol
2. Drugs
3. Preditory "earning"
4. Homosexuality
5. Gambling
6. Something for nothing/irresponsibility (xtianity)
7. Polygamy/superiority over women/misogyny (Islam)
Much like the other prophets Mohhamed (polygamy/superiority over women/misogyny) and Jesus (forgiveness/savior), the gods use me for temptation as well. In today's modern society they feel people are most weak for popular culture/sensationalism, and the clues date back to WorldWarII and Unit731:TSUSHOGO.
It has been discussed that, similar to the Matrix concept, the gods will offer a REAL "Second Coming of Christ", while the "fake" Second Coming will come at the end and follow New Testiment scripture and their xtian positioning. I may be that real Second Coming.
What I teach is the god's true way. It is what is expected of people, and only those who follow this truth will be eligible to ascend into heaven as children in a future life. They offered this event because the masses have just enough time to work on and fix their relationship with the gods and ascend, to move and grow past Planet Earth, before the obligatory xtian "consolation prize" of "1000 years with Jesus on Earth" begins.
Your job as a future mother is to learn the god's ways and to help your child understand despite the negative reinforcement and conditioning of today's society. Without consciousous parents the child will have no hope, and may even exaserbate their disfavor by becoming corrupted in today's environment.
Your ultimate goal is to fix your relationship wiith the gods and move on. You don't want to be comfortable here, and the changes in Western society in the last 100 years has achieved just that.
1000 years with Jesus is the consolation prize. Don't be deceived into thinking that is the goal.
The Prince of Darkness, battling the gods over the souls of the Damned.
It is the gods who have created this environment and led people into Damnation with temptation. The god's positioning proves they work to prevent people's understanding.
How often is xtian dogma wrong? Expect it is about the Lucifer issue as well.
The fallen god, fighting for justice for the disfavored, banished to Earth as the fallen angel?
I believe much as the Noah's Flood event, the end of the world will be initiated by revelry among the people. It will be positioned to be sanctioned by the gods and led for "1000 years with Jesus on Earth".
In light of modern developments this can entail many pleasures:::Medicine "cures" aging, the "manufacture" of incredible beauty via cloning as sex slaves, free (synthetic) cocaine, etc.
Somewhere during the 1000 years the party will start to "die off", literally. Only those who maintain chaste, pure lifestyles, resisting these temptations, will survive the 1000 years. Condemned to experience another epoch of planet's history for their ignorant pursuit of xtianity, they will be the candidates used to (re)colonize (the next) Planet Earth, condemned to relive the misery experienced by the peasantry during history due to their failure to ascend into heaven before the Apocalypse.
Never forget:::It is not a house of Jesus.
If this concept of Lucifer is true another role of this individual may be to initiate disfavor and temptation among this new poulation, the proverbial "apple" of this Garden of Eden. A crucial figure in the history of any planet, he begins the process of deterioration and decay that leads civilizations to where Planet Earth remains today.
Now you are faced with a lifetime to work and prepare for your next chance. Too many will waste this time, getting stoned, "Hiking!", working, etc.
