Thousands of tickets for open-air Masses during Pope Benedict XVI's visit to Britain this week are yet to be sold just days before he is due to arrive.
The Pope starts his visit in Scotland on Thursday. The largest organised event is an open-air Mass at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow on the opening day of his four-day trip to the UK.
The capacity has been reduced to 80,000 after a slow take-up of tickets.
Dioceses in England and Wales have also reported thousands of unfilled places for a London vigil in Hyde Park on Saturday and the service to beatify Cardinal Newman in Birmingham on Sunday.
Officials have blamed the early start, with pilgrims having to leave home at 2am in order to board official coaches heading to the venue, rather than the cost of tickets.
The Roman Catholic Church of England and Wales remains confident that the first-ever state papal visit to Britain will prove a success.
Blaming slow ticket sales on "the early start?" Nah, I'd blame it on atheism.

When you talk about the current scandals facing the Vatican and Church, you should also point out to people that there is now stunning and comprehensive proof that the New Testament is a Roman deception. Furthermore, religious leaders in Rome have always known this.
I am the proverbial horse's mouth and I am now gifting you with the Vatican's worst nightmare, now realized. Christian Rome oppressed and massacred myriad souls over the previous age to prevent you from ever understanding what I have just made available to everyone.

Well I'm glad that you are against the Roman church and all... but what's this about the "new testament" being a deception? Are you implying that not all of the testaments are deceptions? Cause they are.
I'm an equal opportunity theism hater. I hate all religions pretty much equally. I wish you the best but I'm not some Anti-Vatican crusader. My plan is far more grandiose. I'm an afterlife killer.

That's because the church will put that spin on it if necessary. Reality isn't their strong suit, advertizing is. They will do what they always do and play to their strengths.

Sorry to burst your bubble of idealism, but getting people to believe your evidence would be difficult even if you had a signed statement from the perpetrators of this fraud. Most people believe what they have been told they want to believe. The usual response to this sort of criticism is to discredit the messenger.
