Kathy Griffin: Fuck You, Jesus!

UPDATE: Sign the petition to support Kathy Griffin!

Kathy Griffin won an Emmy, and she was sure to point out to whom the credit was not due:

In her speech, Griffin said that "a lot of people come up here and thank Jesus for this award. I want you to know that no one had less to do with this award than Jesus."

She went on to hold up her Emmy, make an off-color remark about Christ and proclaim, "This award is my god now!"

Kathy Griffin for the win!

Unfortunately, declaring that a non-existent deity has nothing to do with one's worldly achievements is seen as hate speech by all those retarded, Stockholm-syndrome-suffering GodIdiots:

The comedian's remarks were condemned Monday by Catholic League President Bill Donohue, who called them a "vulgar, in-your-face brand of hate speech."

According to the TV academy and E!, when the four hour-plus ceremony is edited into a two-hour program, Griffin's remarks will be shown in "an abbreviated version" in which some language may be bleeped.

The Catholic League, an anti-defamation group, called on the TV academy to "denounce Griffin's obscene and blasphemous comment" at Sunday's ceremony.

"Kathy Griffin's offensive remarks will not be part of the E! telecast on Saturday night," the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences said in a statement Monday.

Donohue thinks that is hate speech? Oh man, he wouldn't know hate speech if it spoke to him!

If I were ever to be in Kathy's position, I would be sure to demonstrate real hate speech, just to get the Christians' panties in bunches. It would probably go something like this:

"I want to take this opportunity to thank every conscious entity in existence, except for course for Jesus, since he is the ultimate instigator of evil and misery in the world. May Jesus be impaled on the cross forever and ever, suspended above a lake of unquenchable fire. Hail Satan!"

Fuck you Donohue, and I hope you choke on your own spit someday upon hearing another "blasphemous" piece of "hate speech." I hope you choke to death on your own outrage as you watch the Christian faith hemorrhage adherents every day.

Hah, a comedian who is criticized for being a comedian and doing what comedians do, exposing idiocy. Let jesus come down from his high and mighty throne and sue her for defamation. In the meanwhile I'll say the Catholic League's attempt to shine their spotlight on their own agenda is "vulgar" and "obscene."

take a look at the website. what a joke. their tag line says: "religious and civil rights." so, if these morons support religious and civil rights, they should have no quarrel because that's exactly what kathy griffin was exercising.

they have a feedback form that I would encourage freethinkers to use if you want to express your opinion about their lunacy.

Yeah, they always holler about free expression, except when it's directed against their religion.
Double standards, anyone?
Bit off topic - thought you might like a little bit of this discussion.

Hahaha, fantastic.

On another note, did you notice that "Eternal Revolution" on your Hit List no longer appears to be configured?

Aaron,
You need to calm down. Why do you hate Jesus so much? Why are you so mad?
Everyone has their own opinions. I am sorry to hear that Kathy (and you) feel that way, but she has freedom of speech; just as Donohue does. Like it or not. We don't have to agree with them, but let's be civil please.
BTW, I know you will reply to my message (cussing me out, hoping I choke to death or something) but I will not play that game.

I dont hate Jesus. I hate Donahue and the vicious attack he made against a talented woman who happens to have the guts to give credit where credit is due.

Everyone has their own opinions. I am sorry to hear that Kathy (and you) feel that way, but she has freedom of speech; just as Donohue does. Like it or not. We don't have to agree with them, but let's be civil please.

Yes, we all have the freedom of speech. So why are you objecting only to mine? The hate speech started with Donahues words, not Kathys, and I merely returned the Donahue the sentiments that he expressed.

BTW, I know you will reply to my message (cussing me out, hoping I choke to death or something) but I will not play that game.

How do you know that? By observing the dialogues I have with theists in the comments of virtually every post Ive ever written? Like the way I have discussions with wade419 and Jonathan and others?

Actually, those are civil discussions. Hmm, Im not sure if theres very much cussing out between me and theists who comment on my blog.

But yea, Im more than happy to have a civil discourse with you, if you ever happen to visit this blog again. But dont be afraid to enter a unique handle of some kind. you dont need to register with blogger to post as something other than anonymous. And unique handles are less confusing that having to talk to lots of anons. I cant keep them all apart in my head! ;)

I fully support what Kathy Griffin said about jesus, and further hope she really meant it! The belief in this false and fictitious "deity" has caused more pain and suffering in the world than anything or anyone. It's lucky for Donohue and anyone else who is upset at what Ms. Griffin said that I was not receiving that award, because what Kathy Griffin said would have been rated "G" in comparison to what I would have said about jesus!

Fortunately, Jesus is merciful and what you saying now about Him has been said before. You can and may swear all you like, say all want but the truth is Jesus christ is the ONLY reason you are still breathing right now. One day you will get the chance to stand before Him (irrespective of whether you believe in Him or not) and those who have long wanted to "rip His throat" will have a chance......but as to whether you will have the power to do it ....its another story.

freedom of speech or not, its God you are insulting, its God you swearing at, and last time I checked God does not have enemies that have succeeded!

Our Jesus is alive, He will defend Himself when the time is right....make sure you have said all you want to because when its His time, my friends YOU WILL WISH YOU NEVER SAID WHAT YOU ARE SAYING! ASK satan.

I love the religious argument that we will wish we were believers when jesus shows up lol. It's like a kids argument you'll be sorry when my brother gets here.

I guess it's fortunate for us that they don't really have a "brother"

Anyway I think we should forcably ban religion sure it's against the constitution but so was the corporate bailouts and the war in Iraq so we might as well break the rules one more time especially when it will actually do so good.

Atheism is bigger and badder than ever said...

Religion is pure poison. Only really stupid people take it all seriously. How many true scientists, doctors and professors actually believe in a god? I've never met a doctor that did, nor have I ever met a scientist or professor who believed in god.

Go God Go! said...

"we should forcably (sic.) ban religion..."
"Religion is pure poison."

That's the problem with some people, they don't know anyone that has been positively affected by religion. It isn't just responsible for bad things. I've seen people on the brink of complete self-destruction who turned to Jesus and became better for it, or at least kicked their crack habit.

With that said, there is no God, and if there is: Fuck 'em. But seriously I'm just kidding...there is definitely not a God (or a relevant one in any case). But if the delusion of God can help some people live better, good for them. It's the religious fucknuts with a platform to say retarded, contradictory hypocritical horseshit who are the real problem, not (at least some) of the simple-minded followers.

Moronic Christian activists, Kathy's comments were funny, you can hear people laughing (maybe some was uncomfortable laughter, but really if they were God fearing they'd have stfu for fear of some cosmic lightning bolt hurled from Zues or Jesus)

Sweet Blog.

I DO NOT HAS A RELIGION....but I believe that all of us should live in peace...it's like everyone fights about something that may or may not exists and it's really all pointless...at some point.

Atheidiots to the rsecue! You're all as "classy" as Griffin.

Good luck non believers...you can still turn it around. Hope you do

I'm sorry to say that Kathy Griffin is about as funny as a sick monkey. And even if she WERE a comedian, which she certainly is not, it would hardly qualify her to talk about theological philosophy. What we have here is another example of an illiterate clod with the IQ of a houseplant who, because she has found an audience of likeminded nitwits, and is in love with her own voice, cannot resist sounding off on a topic which offends people, because she imagines that being offensive is somehow funny. Sorry, Kathy, old dear. You are suffering from folie de grandeur. Here's an idea. Learn to read. See if you can find a book or two on the subject. Then read them. Cheers ~ The Truthteller.

I'm with you... These folks spew hatred out of every pore (then claim Christians are hateful).

God is, was and always will be. Praying the unbelievers figure that out before it's too late. Praying they become more loving and more at peace.
