The concept of an afterlife is inhumane and immoral. Belief in the continuation of your "soul" or consciousness after death is wishful thinking. Belief in an afterlife devalues the one life that actually exists: this one.

Fuck Your Faith
If you *demand* respect, then you deserve ridicule.
Who is this guy? It is absolutely brilliant. His assessment of scriptural religious apologetics is spot on, particularly his plea of immunity to scripture. "You might as well as well tell me about your dreams, because, in essence, you are."
I dont know much about him. I just found him recently. But hes got a YouTube profile, and lots of posted videos of these monologues of his. Ive subscribed to his videos with my own YouTube profile.
And yes, he certainly has a way with words. Quite impressive, truly. He should debate theists or something.
This guy's great. (Though in saying so, I fear that we're engaging in some age discrimination. Were he a brash, young 23 year old I would still like his piece but I think that I'd be less enthusiastic and impressed. Just out of my 20's myself I'm starting to be pissed of at people expecting less from older guys :-) but however you slice it, he's a cool dog and I'm gonna be checking out some of his other stuff to.)

Oh yea! After hearing him say that "demand faith... deserve ridicule" comment, I totally had to post it on KTA :)
That was awesome! I'm going to help spread that video because everyone needs to watch it. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
Incredibly articulate and right on the money.
There is one way--and one way only--to attain knowledge: Evidence.
Where there is no evidence, there is no knowledge.
Where one claims knowledge without evidence, one is a fool.
sorry for this:

Pat Condell is brilliant; See also Marcus Brigstocke for more witty UK atheism rants; he's on YouTube.
