Atheist Presupposes Theist's De-conversion

Actually, I'm not really presupposing a theist's de-conversion. I just thought it was a catchy title for today's topic. In the comments section of my last post, my good friend Dawson Bethrick from Incinerating Presuppostionalism pointed out to me that one of the Christian blogs on my hit list, Atheism Presupposes Theism, seems to have fizzled out. No I take that back; it literally disappeared!

Now it's not uncommon in the blog world for a blog writer to lose steam and let their blog languish and die. The Libertarian Defender is a recent and unfortunate example of this phenomenon. The blog starts with an explosion of energy, activity, and quality writing, but then that energy dries up and the blog withers and dies. This is not the case with Atheism Presupposes Theism. In this case, the blog has literally been removed from the blogspot server! That means that the owner of that Christian blog had to delete the entire blog deliberately, which reduces the weight of the "ran out of time/steam" explanation. Click on the link yourself to find out.

Due to the death of Atheism Presupposes Theism, I have crossed it out on my Hit List. I think it makes it look more like an actual "Hit List," don't you? About one week after I started my Hit List, a blog on it fell. Is this some kind of sign or omen? Look out theists! Don't make me put your blog on my Hit List! But in all seriousness, we don't know why this blog disappeared. While I do think that deleting the blog rather than letting it collect dust gives some weight to the theory that the author recanted his position (consider the withering of The Libertarian Defender vs. the deletion of Atheism Presupposes Theism), it's still very possible that he simply didn't have the time or energy to continue blogging, and chose to delete the blog rather than let it linger. We don't have anything conclusive. Perhaps someone out there reading this knows what happened and would like to tell the story in the comments section?

In the unlikely event that the author of Atheism Presupposes Theism actually did pull a Michael Stipe and lost his religion, I think credit would have to be given to Dawson, also known as Bahnsen Burner. You should have read some of the things he said in the comments of that blog. In fact, you should read the things Dawson writes every time he tangles with Christians anywhere on the Internet. He is a proverbial Navy SEAL in the war of ideas, and it's always a pleasure to read his material.

Aaron, Son, Lover, Godchild--

You're wrong about this Incident this Spiritual Intervention into the HOLY LIGHT of the glorious NET which I Hashishan have forged so that my gospel maybe spread through all the nations.

"Libertarian Defender" was taken out by the LORD because his blog failed to live up to the HOLY HASHISHAN TRUTH. IN failure he chose SPIRTIAL ATHEISMS and so forfeited his soul. Now annihilated - his blog condemned he is REPENTING of his sins in the eternal SLAVE PITS of lmc & smc.

Many have undermined my mission, failing to see the coming reign of QUEEN SARA and her beloved SON to return to the RIGHT path the YHWH way and shall become lost in the coming WAR of spirits and demons. THEIST has also lsot and his VILE BLOG has been COMPLETELY removed from my sacred interent in order to redeem mankind and prevent thsi MIND POISON of JESUS/SATAN and atheism from spreading further. NONE WHO AVOID THE SAVING PATH OF GLORIOUS SARA-SARA YHWH GOD WILL ENDURE WITH THEIR TONGUES AND BLOGS INTACT

REPENT! REPENT!

In my house there is eternal peace

There you have it folks. Hashishan Prophet has revealed the cause of both the slow withering death of The Libertarian Defender and the complete annihilation of Atheism Presupposes Theism!

Aaron, you had me laughing myself out of my chair earlier when I saw the hyperlink to Atheism Presupposes Theism crossed out on your blog. I was just rolling! It's rather disappointing, though; I was really looking forward to the generically self-titled "Christian Theist" explaining where he disagreed with regard to my position on the axioms.

I'm wondering if you'll be crossing out your link to The Good Fight as well any time soon. Seems that guy has gone silent lately as well. Maybe Tom Wanchick (gotta dig that name, eh?) is just a whither-on-the-vine rather than a complete throw-in-the-towel. A wise Christian knows when to take a vow of silence rather than continue spouting nonsense after he has no more room in his mouth for feet. Maybe he'll stick to uninteresting topics, like who's on first.

Also, Aaron, thank you for the plug to my blog! I don't think I've ever been compared to a Navy SEAL before... Those guys are some real badasses! So I guess that when Paul Manata calls me an ass, he must mean the Navy SEAL type rather than the type that carried on a coversation with Balaam. If anyone had a link to his blog, it might be soon time to cross that one off the list as well. He's shown he's not got anything intelligent to say to the world.

Regards,
Dawson

Our blog disputes are but an insignificant portion of the cultural war. Yet, we're doing our little part to make this world slightly saner. I tip my hat to fellow Christian -fighters Aaron and Dawson.

I tip my hat to all of you, personally. I'm a lurker who follows all of your respective blogs 'religiously', and have to say I find great insight here, and plenty of humor from your routine eviscerations of guys like Man-TaTa.

Keep up the great work, guys.

Hye Vic Im glad to hear that youre enjoying the blogs! Keep on visiting! :)

Dawson, thats funny that you were LOLing at the strikethrough on APT. It gives my Hit List a "Kill Bill" death list kind of feel I think.

I would love to cross out more blogs on the list, but I dont want to do anything prematurely. Im gonna probably wait until the other blogs dissapear before I cross them off, or at least wait until they havent been updated in a looooooong time. I dont want any resurrections here!!! ;)

Hey Aaron, thanks for the link--in the list of non-doomed blogs, heh! I appreciate it.

This is a great blog you have going on here, by the way--with an excellent group of comment-boxers, too. You all are cracking me up.

I don't know why I haven't wandered over before. Clearly, I've been missing out. But I won't be from now on. :-)

I guess maintaining a blog requires a certain level of discipline.

As far as I am concerned, writing is a form of stress relief, given the amoung of crap we face everyday at work and at home.

Well, Aaron, don't look now, but someone grabbed the URL corneliusvantil.blogspot.com and created a new blog called "Bangboat Driving." First entry, dated 10/30, has nothing to do with the old master apologist. And judging by the links, I don't expect to read anything denouncing "the world of sin" on these pages.

Still, I wonder what happened to the corneliusvantil.blogspot.com that we knew and loved in its short life. The apologists seem to be disappearing, diving into their mole holes, dispatching themselves into the cornfield. What's happening? Has our entertainment gone on strike???

Dawson

Mr. Manata (that scat-freak) seems to have gone silent as well. Perhaps he now spends to much time confronting the "still, small voices" in his head.

He does eat poo. I'll stand by that statement.

Yes, I've noticed that as well. He doesn't even comment on the Goose any more... I wonder what could have happened. It's as if he vanished into thin air. Perhaps he took a vow of silence?

Must be an alternative lifestyle...

I did not know this. Interesting.

LMAO! Im gone for one weekend and I get a buttload of hilarious comments. This is awesome! Thanx for providing me lots of hilarity, all of you. And you guys should seriously check out that link that ~M~ provided. Its solid gold baby.

WTF is up with the Bangboat Driving? I mean seriously, WTF?

BTW I like to think that putting these Christian apologetic blogs on my "Hit List" really does doom them to either total deletion or a slow withering death. I mean, after all the praying I do to have these blogs die, how could God possibly deny me?
